Meet Suzanne
Suzanne spent most of her career in the traditional healthcare field of hepatology, she conversely is an accredited Complimentary Therapist who enjoys working with various holistic modalities. She is a Freelance Writer and has authored environmental articles, poems, published books and other musings.
Suzanne has always felt a deep connection to Gaia and all her inhabitants. She is a “tree hugger” in the literal sense. Yes, she does hug trees! Suzanne embraces the Law of Divine Oneness, which states that we are all one with all that is. No exceptions. It is based on this principle, that she has developed a profound respect for even the smallest of creatures. Suzanne recalls at the age of seventeen, staying in the bedroom loft of her family’s cottage. There, she recalls a hornet that seemed to be invincible, which flew erratically throughout the room.
At bedtime, she remembers being nervous to fall asleep, for fear of being stung by the mighty hornet. The hornet never stung her thankfully, but her sleep was unsettled. The next day, Suzanne left the cottage for work, and upon her return, saw a very shocking sight. The once seemingly indestructible and fierce insect lay motionless beneath the windowsill. Instead of feeling relief that she would no longer have to worry about being stung, she felt a profound sadness. She began to pen a philosophical piece about her departed room guest. This was her first nature piece. This experience helped her understand that even predator animals should be treated with compassion and respect. She also learned a lesson that day on the fragility of life. She credits this first nature writing and experience, for the inspiration to write future environmental works including this book.
